Anatomical Medium Heart- Transgender Pride Flag

This soft sculpture anatomical heart is designed as a unique art work. Made to my own design and pattern, the heart is fairly anatomically correct (but not strictly, it is intended as a piece of art, not teaching aid!).

The heart is crocheted in the colours of The Transgender Pride Flag created by American trans woman Monica Helms in 1999. Helms described the meaning of the transgender pride flag: "The stripes at the top and bottom are light blue, the traditional color for baby boys. The stripes next to them are pink, the traditional color for baby girls. The stripe in the middle is white, for those who are transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender."

This is an approximately life sized heart (about the size of a large fist) and measures around 16cm tall by 11cm wide. It has a depth of around 5cm. There is a hanging loop on the back, ideal for hanging from a wall nail. As each heart is made by hand, please be aware there are slight variations.
