Anatomical Heart Brooch- Transgender Pride Flag

This soft sculpture anatomical heart brooch is designed as a unique brooch and mini art work. Made to my own design and pattern, the heart is fairly anatomically correct (but not strictly, it is intended as a piece of art, not teaching aid!).

The heart is crocheted in the colours of The Transgender Pride Flag created by American trans woman Monica Helms in 1999. Helms described the meaning of the transgender pride flag: "The stripes at the top and bottom are light blue, the traditional color for baby boys. The stripes next to them are pink, the traditional color for baby girls. The stripe in the middle is white, for those who are transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender."

The heart brooch measures approximately 7cm tall by 5cm wide. It has a depth of around 2cm. There is brooch bar fastening sewn on the back. As each brooch is made by hand, please be aware there are slight variations, as can be seen in the photos.
