I've crocheted giant versions of how Chlamydia trachomatis bacterium, which causes the infection Syphilis, appears under an electron microscope. Big artistic liberties have been taken with form, colour, size and the fact that they they would never be grown in a lab on a petri dish! The aim is to make these microscopic bacteria vibrant, visible and engaging.
